Rise + Roost was created by happenstance when Liz’s passion for real estate and business collided. It’s a business built on customer service and attention to detail. Every guest experience is viewed as an opportunity to build a new relationship. As the Airbnb market continues to expand, they are constantly striving to set themselves apart. Their collection of properties are curated to compliment one another, while they are unique - offering guests a different experience, they still are very selective in their process.

Liz came to Tennessee by way of the Army relocating her and husband JD, from North Carolina. Liz began her career in Clarksville, TN and has over 9 years of Real Estate experience, 5 of which have been focused on property management. With a last name like Sauer (pronounced like sau·ur) they named their 9lb blonde yorkie-poo Lemon and recently just got her a sister that they aptly named Lulu.

From Liz’s perspective the property management model was in desperate need of a revamp. She kept hearing the same complaints from tenants about lack of communication and deferred maintenance. From this observation came the idea to start a property management firm that prioritized the tenant experience to ensure quality tenant retention. In creating a model that focused on tenants she could offer home owners the peace of mind in knowing their tenants’ needs were being met, which ensures their homes are being well taken care of.

Taylor is originally from Beaufort, SC but made the move to Nashville, TN in 2020. She studied Marketing and Accounting at Clemson University and loves tying these studies together with real estate. She felt pulled to pursue a career in real estate after her father, sister, and aunt all chose this career path and began to share their knowledge and experience with her at a young age. After having multiple renting situations throughout college where there was a major lack of communication, Taylor knew this was something she could change in her own work going forward.

She takes pride in prioritizing the communication aspect of the renting process - whether that be with the homeowner, or the renter, to ensure an enjoyable & seamless experience. Taylor chose Rise and Roost because of Liz’s knowledge, attention to detail, and her hands-on approach for day to day tasks. This type of management allows us to be proactive in eliminating potential problems but also allows us to quickly respond to any issues that may arise (because if you know property management, then you know they will arise). We truly love what we do, and that’s because of the experience we are able to create for our homeowners and our guests!
